Robert Rodriguez Up for a Predator Reboot?

Source:  Bloody-Disgusting
Predator RebootIt seems another 80s classic reboot is in the works in Hollywood. According to Bloody-Disgusting, Robert Rodriguez will be producing a new remake of Predator for his Troublemaker Studios banner and 20th Century Fox.

Some information was also dropped about the film's plot, indicating there would be more than one Predator in the film.

"In the reboot a team of commandoes face down a mysterious race of vicious monsters," the site's source said.

It also wasn't clear whether Rodriguez would be directing, or just producing the film. We'll certainly keep you posted on any and all updates surrounding this new film project.

I hope they come out with a predator 3. I like your plot Jigsaw. I do see alot of referances from the first 2 movies. The new stuff you would include is awsome. I would like to see Arnold to come back, but not die.

R for Strong bloody violence, and language, sexuality, nudity, and drug content.
I agree with you Jigsaw, to much blood is way over the top.

The movie should be rated R for Strong bloody violence, language, some drug content, sexuality, and nudity.
Predator 2 style in the blood part. It be way over the top with huge amount of blood and gore.

If I were the director, I would bring back Arnold, as the Dutch character from the first movie. But the thing I would do, is have him work out again to get his muscles big again like in the first movie, or his other greatest move, Commando, but maybe have them even bigger. But the thing that I think have to happen is having his character die. Just a thought.

There would be alot of referances from the first 2 films. I would also include some new things that never happened in the other 2 films, like...
The first thing is the Predator killing womens, and skinning them. I would include that for the first time. Also more than one predator obviously in the movie. Aside from Pred 2 at the end, I mean massacreing people, and killing them. One thing I like from the Alien vs. Predator 2 game for PC and include in the movie was that, when you shot one of the people's head off with a speargun, the predator would laugh. That be cool.

Here what the plot should be:
It takes place in South America, in Central/Middle America's jungles, and Columbia. A group of CIA agents and a Cabinet Ministers are captured by Columbian drug lords, after shooting down their helicopter. So a group af commandoes are sent out to rescue their buddies. But when they arrive, they already find the Columbians, and some CIA agents who decided to fight back dead and skinned. The team of commandoes then begin to be mysteriously massacre.

Don't care what anyone says the original Predator was a classic. But remakes and Sequels seems to be all that Hollywood is capable of these days so what the frig bring it on!!!!
Why not have Spiderman vs Predator or Rocky 10 Or Die hard vs Neo (Matrix)........ actually i would like to see John McClane verses Neo.

i think it's time we let computer game writers do movies such as this - they seem to have the right idea of what we want to see.

damn ryte, the AVP movies sucked ass

The damn AVP movies should have started in space in the first place. That's how it started in the comic books and pc games. The AVP movie storylines have gone all to hell.

Ahhh i get what you mean now, lol

Erm people AVP should never have been set in a bloody pyramid (i reckon the producers were high when they were watching the pitch)

AVP:R was not bad poor excuse for a sequel though and to bring the Predalien to life. Also it kind of felt like a poor reimagining of the Predator series with pathetic scares like those aliens things jumping on pregnant women.
(think about this AVP:R was set in a forest & a city, sounds very familiar).

AVP can only take place in one place...SPACE/Spaceship...or a different planet.

One thing i would love to see though is an AVP film lead to a continuance to either the predator or alien franchise.
You know like how AVP ended...you knew there had to be a sequel.

J.A. you misunderstood, I was saying that they have already done that, so they don't need to do a city setting again, but I understand what you're saying

and I agree with homeworld aspect, seeing it in AVP:R, wasn't enough, I wanted to see more, maybe a human sneaks on the ship, I don't know how, but thats one way

zZz

I understand why they want to remake it but i think if they are - it should be set in the future. I was so disappointed with AVP 1 and 2. I wanted that to be based on the computer game where it was Pred's, aliens and marines.

Well hopefully they'll make it watchable.

Blizzard read the comment below mine (which is Amano) and then read my comment above his and maybe just maybe you might get it.

Predator In england would have to include...
A battle scene where Predator takes on the Queen in Buckingham Palace with cameos by Tony Blair & George Bush.
