In a story from
RIA Novosti (that was translated by
Russia-InfoCentre) it looks like director Timur Bekmambetov is about to start prepping the shoot of
Wanted 2. Here is what the director had to say about the planned sequel:
"In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed. The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia."
Bekmambetov went on to say that Angelina Jolie will be making a comeback in this new film, even though her character, Fox, died in the first
Wanted. He also went on say that new characters will also be introduced.
"As for the character played by Kostya Khabenskiy, we'll think about it. We might possibly resurrect him as well."
For
Wanted 2, the creative team is working on the challenge of continuing the story after most of the principal characters ended the original in no position for an encore.
Wanted 2 will come to theaters in 2010 from Universal Pictures.

the movie was completely different! It was annoying slo-motion,cgi-action fest with jolie posing in every shot! The writing was weak the characters were annyoing. Morgan freeman simply took it so he could use teh word FUCK in a film! IT WAS A VIDEO GAME!
in response to Err "that kid" is 30 years old and is portrayed the only evident talent in the film. He has clearly shown smart choices in films. I doubt he will sign up for WANTED 2, but let's see what happens. Either way this sequel will be as bad as the first.
i havent seen the first one because i think jolie is over rated, and i find that kid in the lead role to be annoying.
im sure ill see it someday, probably after i find a combo pack of the first and upcoming movie in the $2.50 bin at the shop in a few years.
