Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep and Robert Redford Take Lions for Lambs

Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep will star in the drama, Lions for Lambs for United Artists and MGM.

Robert Redford is set to star and direct the film set in Afghanistan, says The Hollywood Reporter. Redford will play a professor in the U.S. with two students in Afghanistan; Cruise will play a U.S. senator.

Production on Lions for Lambs is scheduled to begin at the end of January, with an expected release in late 2007.
