Vamp I beg to differ with you. Shirley Bassey's "Diamonds Are Forever" was a definitive classic. In the tradition of Brosnan Bond flicks, I would have to say Sheryl Crow's "Tomorrow Never Dies" is my fav. Although "Goldeneye" was good, too.

This one just plain hits you wrong, you're thinking "WTF? This for a Bond movie? No way..." And I have the feeling the actual movie will be a let-down as well. The first Bond film to let ME down, that's for sure. It also is the only one that doesn't tie in to Fleming's work, basically it is the conception of the Broccoli's, and I think that will ultimately spell Bond's undoing.

I too hated the Chris Cornell track until I heard it synced up with those amazing opening CR credits. It's now one of my favourites.

I'm hoping the same will happen with this track.

I would really like to hear what Amy Winehouse would have offered.

Tina Turner's "Goldeneye" was definitely the best. Hands down.

Nobody Does It Better by Carly Simon all the way!!!, the song is even better to listen to after bond pulls out the union jack parachute during the intro scene

MY Favorite Bond Songs...

5 Die Another Day by Madonna
4 Goldeneye by Tina Turner
3 Nobody Does It Better by Carly Simon
2 Live and Let Die by Paul McCartney and Wings
1 Dr No Intro - The James Bond Theme Song

I've seen a few best bond intros lists on this thread and I can't believe I'm the only one that lists Bond's theme song. THAT song IS James Bond. The whole world knows it the second you hum it. hmmm.

A little different than I would have expected, but I bet it will fit the movie really well

Have to say I am not pleased with the song. Some change is good, but sometimes there's just to much. If it works well with the film then I'll change my mind. Things just aren't looking up for QOS.

i don't care for this too much either.
they should get technical itch to do the theme song, that would be sweet. those uk producers are a bunch of whores, too, so he would probably do it, too.

I for one will wait because honestly I hated Chris Cornells' Bond Theme the first time I heard it because it did n ot seem to fit at first, that is until I saw the movie and it worked extremely well. So I learned not to prejudge and I will give this a chance

got to be one of the worst...nothing like a bond theme should be. (chris connell's is by far better). sounds pretty much exactly like any other hip hop song thats been released in the last year

Sorry guys and girls I don't share your enthusiasm for this. Quite frankly I think that song is fucking horrible! Way too upbeat and hip-hoppy/R&B for a bond film. Nothing like the original bond opening sequences that had that unique & classic nature to it. Hopefully the song is of no indication to where the film is going because I am still looking forward to it.

Die Another Day was crap, the movie and the song too. The world is not enough, that´s a great song.

Well...I liked Die Another Day and You Know My Name much more than this one but I don't think its bad. If they kind of change the song a lil bit and make it more "actiony" hehe I think it'd sound better and have a chance of being a really good Bond song. I've always loved the intros of the Bond movies so please make this one memorable as well :)

really good stuff, yeah it's different but at the same time, it's the bond style... cant wait for the titles to go along with it

i also like how the lyrics don't start until about 40s in... which is cool too

I wanna see heaps of naked lady silhouettes holding sexy looking pistols this time in the opening sequence. That was the only thing missing from Casino Royale.

Damn that shit sucked! It doesn't even sound anything related for James Bond. Chris Cornell - You Know My Name is a lot better.

I would like it better without Alicia on it. I have nothing against her. It just would sound better with Jack singing it alone. Love the music.
