You can watch a cult classic hit from Joss Whedon in 1080p this November.
Firefly: The Complete Series will be released on Blu-Ray on November 11. This three-disc BD set will contain all 14 episodes of the series and will be priced at $89.98 SRP. The series starred Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk and Summer Glau.
Set 500 years into the future, in the wake of a universal civil war,
Firefly centers on the crew of Serenity, a small transport spaceship that does not have a planet to call home. Captain Malcom "Mal" Reynolds, a defeated soldier who opposed the unification of the planets by the totalitarian governed Alliance, will undertake any job - legal or not - to stay afloat and keep his crew fed.

i missed a bunch of good shows that i didnt find about until they hit dvd, such as this and the tick.
and the good shows i did catch like andy richter controls the universe, no one else bothered to watch.
And if you like the series, make sure to catch the film "Serenity" which acts much like a series finale.
But yeah, I could've easily lived with another three or four seasons of the show.
it can be kinda corny and its sort of like a cowboy show in the future, but with adam baldwin as the trademark bad-ass, the surprisingly decent fx and the overall quality of story and acting i cant help but recommend it.
