It seems the latest in a superhero franchise might come to your theater in 3-D.
Forbes recently spoke to Sony Pictures co-chairmen Amy Pascal and Michael Lynton, who revealed that 3-D technology could possibly be implemented into
Spider-Man 4.
When asked whether the technology could be used for
Spider-Man 4, Pascal simply replied, "Could be." Lynton added, "People are paying a premium to see movies in 3-D and that's a very big deal. It's never been done before that someone says you have to pay more to see
Spider-Man than a romantic comedy."

for the rest of the interview with the executives.
Spider-Man 4 is currently set for release on May 6, 2011.

You're right VIS, that 3D should be the last things on their minds. And by 'theirs' I mean Sony/Columbia. It's the studio's doing here, obviously. If they don't resurrect the series here after Raimi's poor job directing and his induction with co-writing Spider-Man 3, than it WILL spell the end of this franchise. Which is what I thought the last movie did, but whaddyaknow?
No more Sinister 6 SLIM, but what we do have is now Raimi wants to do the anticipated Lizard story arc, since they have developed the Curt Connors character in the last two films, and mentioned him in the first. Which is most likely fine with most fans, as long as they don't screw that character over like they did with Venom. I once read that Raimi thought a good choice for villains would be Vulture and Electro. It just goes to show that although Raimi "claims" he's a fan of the books, he really has no clue how to do a movie about it. From Day One he has messed up the story and now he's in a hole he can't dig out of. The biggest mistake for making "Spider-Man 4" was firing James Vanderbilt and handing his two-movie-arc script over to David Lindsay-Abaire, which may/may not have also been the studio's doing as well.
Bottom line: Raimi is out of writing duties (thank the heavens!), Lizard is one of the villains (studio wants two - no more, no less), and they need to make this on par with the second installment or no more webs for the wallcrawler.
The Spider-Man trilogy's biggest subplot was the Green Goblin story line. It wasn't necessary, if they had spaced it out, maybe every other Spider-Man it wouldn't have been so predictable. I know for a fact that some of you may feel the same way. Another one that was a waste of my money was focusing on God damn Mary Jane. She was a fucking drama queen.
Each film carried into the next. It's his emotions with Uncle Ben, the Green Goblin, Mary Jane. Each film they kill off the fucking villain and then Spider-Man FORGIVES Sandman and lets him escape. Seriously?
I once read that Sam [Raimi] wanted to do a film that included the Sinister Six. I mean come on. I was pretty sure it included Dr. Octopus and Sandman. How can that happen? He killed off Doc Ock. I don't want to go on a rant but this film should not be made in 3D. It takes away from the story and the series isn't looking so good at this point.
Btw Newkill, no one likes you so knock it off. You steal my previous insults I've had with you in the past and then use them on me... lol idiot. Get your own shit. And no I don't want to suck any cock (which was going to be your next insult). You are kinda predictable.

OMG I have a idea, this is fucking nuts... omg omg omg have Spiderman 4 will have an amazing script AND be in 3D omg is it possible to do both? Do you people honestly believe that the 3D developers are secretly the writers of these movies or something and they can only one or the other lol? *smacks the stupid people*
