LA Daily News reports that X-Men executive producer Lauren Shuler Donner is currently working on the cast for a 4th installment in the movie franchise. Renegotiations would be needed to secure the main stars of the previous three films.

Donner says "The newer cast members are signed, and the older cast members are not." Considering the older names involved -- Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Romijn, Famke Janssen and Anna Paquin -- that could run into a huge chunk of money.

All that's putting the cart before the wolverine, of course, since Hugh Jackman is set to reprise his role as the manicure-challenged mutant superhero in his own film. "Next, we're going to do 'Wolverine,' but not before the end of the year because he's in the Baz Luhrmann film," she says of the filmmaker's untitled Australian epic with Nicole Kidman. However, "We have the script and are working on it."

Shuler Donner reports, "We also have 'Young Magneto' in development."

Actually there are some xmen cartoons that are favs that I still watch. The series that came out in 95, those were good, it's funny to because some of those animated series were almost like adult content, some characters were telling each other off. Good stuff, classic.

It's all good.
Nick Fury would be cool. I still have yet to see the hulk & Iron Man. Its a shame movie prices are so high now. It's like $10 to go see a matinee during the day. Such a rip off. Damn the man, lol. yeah, Whatever happens I just hope I get to see another Xmen film and not a script floating around on the internet for another 10yrs. Then another sort of let down or short fall in the movie. I'll still watch the Xmen trilogy though, I'm a fan, can't be helped.

Maybe doing a cameo like Nick Fury in Iron Man, or Tony Stark in The Hulk would be cool. Maybe Bruce Banner can go to Professor Xavier for advice, or whoever that would open some doors for other characters. Your right, I should have approached the situation a little differently

Yeah, I didnt meant put down any bryan singer fans or those films, but he really did a professional job with Superman. Xmen should have shared the same success as the Lord..., it didnt though. Thats what erks me. They had plenty of story lines to work off of (comics). Then director controls all aspects of a movie, right? If he is in conrtol, which I think he is, he should have done alot more in the production of the film, costumes, ex. logan and rogue getting rescued in the beginning, that was a short fall in the 1st film. Ray Parks charcter could have been a little bit more fun & tweaked even in the time alotted for him.

They could reboot the series, that would be interesting, look at how they re-did the HULK., then ad characters or changem, like others have suggested. Or what I was thinking was do a cameo with the hulk or iron man, a thought. However ultimately, it's really in the hands of the director, how good his ideas are, money has a part to play too. But again its all about production.
What do you think about adding, ghost rider, hulk or iron man into an Xmen movie? I think it be cool.

you are comparing them based on the direction. Maybe I should have said u are comparing them unfairly. The X-Men series is poor but dont compare it to a film that is a major success such as the Lord of the Rings. In that case why dont they reboot the X-Men series?
