LOOK..CHECK IT OUT...ID4 WAS NOT A STUPID MOVIE..IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME, MY NUMBER ONE FAVORITE...IT COVERED ALL GROUNDS; YOU HAD THE MILITARY POINT OF VIEW, THE CIVILIAN POINT OF VIEW, THE PRESIDENT'S POINT OF VIEW, AND EVEN TRAILER TRASH'S POINT OF VIEW...AREA 51 WAS IN IT AND SO WAS THE CONNECTION WITH ABDUCTIONS..IT DID NOT MISS ONE AREA...THE CAST WAS AMAZING TOO..HOW CAN YOU NOT FEEL THE SPEECH THAT THE PRESIDENT GAVE IN THE MOVIE...THAT TOPPED IT OFF....AS FOR "I AM LEGEND"..THIS MIGHT BLOW...FOR THE SIMPLE FACT THAT THE CG IS OBVIOUSLY CG..AND THAT'S THE WORST KIND...IT LOOKS LIKE IROBOT...WHICH WAS STUPID TOO..I CAN'T STAND MOVIES WHERE THE SPECIAL EFFECTS IS OBVIOUSLY SPECIAL EFFECTS....TERMINATOR 3 BEING AN EXAMPLE.....THE BEST SPECIAL EFFECTS MOVIE WHERE THERE IS AN EVEN BLEND OF REAL PROPS AND CG IS TERMINATOR 2......TO SAY THAT BAD BOYS 2 WAS STUPID IS ALL WRONG...IT WAS GREAT..IT SOLD MORE THAT THE ORIGINAL....

The brilliance of ID4? Well, I guess it is genius to a certain degree to progressively stack the crap higher and higher as the film goes on. It did take some kind of planning for a film to start off as an entertaining concept and get progressively stupider and more moronic as you go. Pathetic one-liners, terrible performances, actors clearly embarrassed to be there... When you've got Jeff Goldblum embarrassed, you've accomplished something with his career. Bill Pullman, non-actor, as President of the US, with his goofy, no eye contact, sheepish wimp performance donning a flight jacket. Randy Quaid, doing the worst "heroic" death in the history of cinema. Will Smith searching for and finding his wife, apparently the only survivor of her entire city. What a lucky coincidence! Just return that copter when you're done with it, Will. It's not like we'll need it in the midst of fighting an interstellar war

Ok, from reading what you have said, I cannot respect your view on movies at all.to say that Pursuit of Happiness is boring is one thing (aparently you don't understand emotionals stories), but to say "Independece Day was shit" is rediculous! This is one of the best movies ever! That is not just my opinion either, that is a commonly held view.
But i agree with you on your final point, his film selection leaves something to be desired. That is the abundance of his movies. There is simply not enough of them!

" I Robot" was boring, "Independece Day" was shit, never liked, always thought it was a waste of space, even when I saw it in a theater!, & Pursuit of Happiness was Zzzzzzzz W/.a capital "Z"! "MIB 2" & "Bad Boys II" should have never happend, & well "Wild Wild West" was just a Razzie film all the way & "The Legend of Bagger Vance" was also another Zzzzz film (It's about golf)!!
Let's see...hmmm the only films Will Smith was even watchable in was:
1) Men In Black
2) Enemy of the State
3) Six Degrees of Separation
4) Where the Day Takes You
5) Ali
So when it comes to Will Smith, he may be a good actor, but his films choices leave something to be desired!

You may not be able to beat a dead horse, but you sure can buy a better one! and that is what has happened here. This "remake" may not have an original storyline, but it will be the best of those others that you listed 2MovieGuys. Smith doesn't do movies to "pay his rent". He hasnt even done more then 15 movies in his career, which means that he is selective with movies. He only does things that he wants to do, and they are always successful, i.e. I Robot, Independece Day, Pursuit of Happiness, ect. THis movie will be great, and i cant wait for it!
