Star Wars: The Clone Wars was released August 15th, 2008 and stars Matt Lanter, Ashley Eckstein, James Arnold Taylor, Dee Bradley Baker, Tom Kane, Nika Futterman, Ian Abercrombie, Corey Burton. The film is directed by Dave Filoni.

I thought the live action series wont be until 2011/2012. It will be based around episode 3 and 4.. I would like to point out that how well the lego star wars video game did. the best star wars games to date(until force unleashed). Look at the sh*tty childish animation and people dug it.. maybe lucas said it was ok for sh*tty animation since the lego game did so well...

...it will continue on cartoon network as a 30 episode series BoyWho. The animation, story, etc, is not expected to be anything greater than a TV show. Why is everyone still comparing this as a stand alone film event, or comparing it to the live action films? It's a different medium people, like the books or comics. I thought we've been through this already...lol.

you dont say? well maybe cause the parents will take there kids to see this pice of sh*t and cause tdk has been out for a month everybody has seen it once or more. so if it wins its not cause you beted its cause sw actracts geeks and there is a lot of history behind it, but im a sw fan and i for one will not see this even if it was free. it looks awfull the animation is pure sh*t and its a cartoon we want a live sw movie not a dumb cartoon. lucas is a cheap f*gg releasing this movie to theaters it should be straight to dvd. if it takes tdk its gonna be a sad day for us tdk fans but hey 2nd place and on top for four weeks straight is good. but for this to beat it? no tropic thunder should beat it.

Hey, all the chaos started on this thread because of me anyway. Maybe I'm Irish and Swiss. (grin)
Not sure if Clone Wars will beat DK. I actually hope not. The reviews so far are mixed. They either liked it or they didn't. 57% on the Tomato Meter so far. Not shabby, not great. We'll see what happens after this weekend.

that's a good thing lucas doesn't care about the books that is why they are 100 times better than the movies... But I do believe Lucas has some say in the books..
Can the clone wars beat up the dark knight this weekend at the box office???
the swizz? didn't they build weapons for the nazi's??? or launder their gold during wwII.. that's great on swizz's part.. not to take part in the war but reap all the benefits..

If this is a fanboy war, than I must be like Switzerland at this point. I'm still neutral until/whenever I see it.
Dark Empire was an excellent comic. I would be pleased to see that as the final trilogy, or something close to it.

read the comic series by DARK HORSE called DARK TIMES if you want some more Vader in between ANH and ROTS.. or the novel 'Rise of darth Vader'. do people just watch movies these days???
A young luke??? He doesn't know he has powers until he is 19. he doesn't become a jedi until he is like 23.. Lets see Luke as a old man like in the LEGACY OF THE FORCE series or DARK EMPIRE.. When luke is in his prime.
I would rather play a game of Vaders apprentice than watch a movie about it.

lucas needs to go to hell for this awfull movie.
1 never bring an animated sw movie to theaters unless the animation is goog unlike this.
