Dragonball Evolution is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys. Justin Chatwin is starring as the hero Goku, while James Marsters will play the villain Piccolo in the sci-fi adventure.

Dragonball Evolution will come to theaters April 8 from 20th Century Fox.

Dragonball Evolution was released April 10th, 2009 and stars Justin Chatwin, Chow Yun-Fat, Emmy Rossum, Jamie Chung, James Marsters, Joon Park, Eriko Tamura, Randall Duk Kim. The film is directed by James Wong.

    Sorry to tell you Gotham Knight. They already did f*ck this movie up. They gave this sh*t a PG rating. Come on, now. This sh*t is suppose to be for kids. That DBZ version that came on cartoon network was just edited. But the real uncut sh*t has cursing more animated gore. Not for kids. This sh*t should have been rated R if it really wanted to stay loyal to the fans, or at least PG-13.

    I'm going to film a better live action Dragonball. It will be 2hrs or a little more, the ki blasts will be just that, BLASTS...NOT WIND! The casting will be done right, and it will be rated PG-13 AT LEAST. I can't believe this crap that 20th Century Fox and James Wong are spewing out.

    is sucks.... and I'm a big dragon ball z fan so i though i give it a chance and damn what a let down. its just really for the kids, i'm sure my daughter would love it.

    I watched the 80minutes japanese version online yesterday and this is my review...
    ...This movie was the gayest sh*t i have ever seen,i just finished watching it,and there were some pretty cool stuff in the beginning,but this was the most disappointing sh*t,in the world.Oozaru(Goku's ape form) came on for about 8 minutes,and most of that 8 minutes had Yamcha and Bulma interrupting with their fight with Mai.Also,at the very end when the Shenron dragon is summoned,HE DOESN'T TALK,and he is Golden-White.And looks like he has flames around him,like the Kamehameha.
    I have more too say but let me point out,The Kamehameha,was very disappointing,instead of a beam it looked more like blue flames shooting straight![Cheap effects,everywhere]And if i ever here a good review on these effects then i know they are lying!
    What else that disappointed me was,the whole High School thing in the beginning,WTF?!
    Where's the Ox king,i heard Chi-Chi say something about her father in the romantic scene at the party,but my speakers messed up,at then.They completely messed up the storyline and they added sh*t that did not need to be added,or maybe they just put it wrong..so i really think that next time they do this sh*t,they think twice and i mean with "Cowboy Bebop" live action!

    I actually enjoyed,Roshi and Yamcha in this to tell you the truth....they were on cue,kinda.And i must say,that piccolo doesn't look right but i like James Masters so he did his thing,but i still think that Ron Perlman (Hellboy,Sons of Anarchy,Afro Samurai[As Justice]) would've done a better job as him.The film will be longer in the American version so that's a good thing..cause i wasted 71 minutes with this sh*t but i still think i should give it a second chance.I also do think that Emma Rossum gave her all as Bulma,and i liked it,she was pretty sexy in this.And lastly i really did enjoy Goku,at times during the beginning but probably before turning into Oozaru he went dupe!
