Anna Paquin has agreed to star with Breckin Meyer in the new romantic comedy, Blue State; Anna will also be attached as the executive producer.
Variety reports the film is about a young, idealistic Democratic campaigner who follows through on a promise to move to Canada if George W. Bush got re-elected.
Writer, Marshall Lewy is making his directorial debut for the project. Anna's brother, Andrew, will produce under the Paquin Films name.
Blue State will start production later this year with a 2007 release.
