Troy Garity, Jason Gray-Standford (Flags of Our Fathers) and Jacob Vargas (Death Race) have boarded Mario Van Peebles' action-thriller Kerosene Cowboys.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, they will play a ragtag group of Navy fighter pilots in a Top Gun-style feature.

Kerosene Cowboys also will star Cam Gigandet, Shane West, Rachael Leigh Cook and former 'NSync member J.C. Chasez.

Working from a story by producers Dave Riggs and Nickolai Suslov, first-time scribe Adam Prince wrote the screenplay, which is partially based on characters from the 2007 novel "Kerosene Cowboys: Manning the Spare," by Randy Arrington.

No production date has been set.

Kerosene Cowboys was released in 2009 and stars Cam Gigandet, Rachael Leigh Cook, Shane West, Bill Pullman, Mario Van Peebles, Martin Kove, Jacob Vargas, Troy Garity. The film is directed by Mario Van Peebles.
