Leading up to the events of X-Men, X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine comes to theaters May 1st from 20th Century Fox.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine was released May 1st, 2009 and stars Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Danny Huston, Will i Am, Lynn Collins, Kevin Durand, Dominic Monaghan, Taylor Kitsch. The film is directed by Gavin Hood.

The first installment bored the hell out of me. Part 2 came close but no cigar. 3 just went over the top with gratuitous special effects. Hopefully this prequel will do better justice. Look how good Rise of the Lycans was for Underworld. Maybe this will have the same effect.
