Man,I cannot wait to see this revamp of Trek, pics are such a tease they do need to release a new trailer.I wonder if they are going to make sequels.A new Star Trek tv show would be nice.

    Word Atreus...

And when are they going to start making movies of L. Ron Hubbard's stuff? That's definitely more "down to earth" Sci-Fi...

Heck with that...I want Ender's Game to be made more than anything!

Again, I can't help but disapprove of how young the cast is. Someday I wish someone would make a serious space opera - perhaps taking a David Weber novel such as his Honor Harrington series or The Shiva Option - and give us something visceral and real, not anymore of this campy sci-fi stuff we have been force-fed since Buck Rogers. I like J.J. Abrams, and I am interested to see what he does with this, but other than that I can't get too excited. Honestly, there are so many books which have an epic and brutally realistic take on the future - why does everyone always flock to Star Wars and Star Trek, two shows which are completely disconnected from reality. (BTW, fanboys, not hating, just making an observation)
