The Expendables is a hard-hitting action/thriller about a group of mercenaries hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator. Once the mission begins, the men realize things aren't quite as they appear, finding themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal. With their mission thwarted and an innocent life in danger, the men struggle with an even tougher challenge one that threatens to destroy this band of brothers.
The Expendables was released August 13th, 2010 and stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, David Zayas. The film is directed by Sylvester Stallone.

Like 99% of the ppl on these blogs, we don't give a $hit what most think about our comments... After watching this trailer, which was good for what it was, and you'd be the same ppl b@!ching about over saturation if there was more material in the trailer... So for my summer, most anticipated is Air Bender, then Expendables... kinda liking the look of Inception from the last trailer I saw, should never doubt Nolan.

I believe so many people will be let down by this movie not by the movie itself but by their own hype. I think this movie is going to deliver the old 80's style of action. No, bullet-time etc. just guns and explosions and not some awesome crazy action scene, no, it's going to be what we got in the days of Rambo and Commando .
P.S. There is going to be so much action in this movie, every shot is going to be a wide shot.

did you forget @bjorn533 Stallone and Lundren have work with each other before in film, Stallone and Van Damme have not, kinda a no brainier, think of this film as a bunch of middle aged men" just slightly older" coming up with an excuse to get together with their old gangs of pals and having some fun without the wives interfering and the end result is gonna be one hell of a movie with all the best action stars jammed into it,

This movie is going to be epic. Will be one of the best action movies of all time. And by the way Van Damme turned down the role because Stallone told him it would be a big action movie and he would just be kicking ass. Van Damme wanted to know what his character would be about in the film. But really come on. Have you seen some of his straight to DVD movies. I highly doubt he really cares about his characters. Also Lundgren was going to be in the movie anyway. With or without Van Damme.
And how can anyone say Lundgren was not that big? Does Rocky IV and Universal Soldier ring a bell? Without him in those movies, especially Universal Soldier would have been any good. And a lot of his direct to DVD movies are a hell of a lot better than Van Damme's too.
