It seems that MGM is going back to the 80s and resurrecting to of its classic films from that decade. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio has revealed at the Cannes Film Festival its plans to remake both Red Dawn and Robocop.

Nothing is confirmed as of yet, but MGM's Harry Parent and Mary Sloan hinted at the possible remakes over the weekend at the Cannes Film Festival.

We'll keep you updated on these possible remakes as more information surfaces.

Well I have bought the Indiana Jones movies. I have watched the first two so far, and I am going to be getting to the third soon, and then next Saturday, I'm going to go see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and really normanSE7EN, I had no doubt that they were great movies, I just never got around to watching them!!!!!

Robocop is a cult classic and does not need to be remade. I liked Red Dawn, but could care less if it gets remade. Murphy, on the other hand, needs to be left alone. I also heard rumors that Escape from New York was going to be remade. Any cult classic should be left alone, what's next John Carpenter's "The Thing."

Vampire2000 you need to watch every Indiana Jones movie in order tomorrow and then recover for a week because you will be getting hit with so much greatness you will be in a weakened state.. and then when you are done recovering take the time to watch Robocop because holy hell Red Foreman killing people and crazy 80s robots its AMAZING

So Red Dawn's a non-fiction story then Wizdome.

Red Dawn is not non-fiction, its a "what if" story. Of course no-one can invade America physically, don't need to anyway - plenty of other ways to do it, but that's beside the point. The story is ok but the action in the movie is cheap - even for its time and the story could be meated out much more to turn it into a really cool epic alternate world war 3 movie.

I've never seen either, believe it or not, of course the same goes for the first three Indiana Jones, but I might watch these new ones anyway!!!!!
