Brie Larson lands the female lead in 21 Jump Street
Brie Larson will play Molly in this remake of the 1987 TV series 21 Jump Street. There wasn't a character named Molly on the original show, so it isn't known yet if she will play one of the detectives or a love interest to one of the characters. Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ice Cube have already signed onto star.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller will direct 21 Jump Street, from a script by Jonah Hill, Michael Bacall, and Joe Gazzam. The story centers on a group of Los Angeles detectives who go undercover and go back to high school.
It isn't clear when production will start on 21 Jump Street.
21 Jump Street was released March 16th, 2012 and stars Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Brie Larson, Dave Franco, Rob Riggle, DeRay Davis, Ice Cube, Dax Flame. The film is directed by Phil Lord, Chris Miller.
