The Twilight Saga: Eclipse lands nine Razzie nominations
The 31st Annual Razzie Awards announced their nominations, with sequels, remakes, and rip-offs dominating. The so-called "winners of the worsts" will be awarded on Hollywood's Barnsdall Gallery Theatre on Saturday, February 26. Razzie repeat offender M. Night Shyamalan 're-imagined' the faux-anime TV series The Last Airbender into a jumbled, jump-cut mess of a movie that fans of the TV show hated even more than critics did (if that's even possible!). In addition to Worst Director and Worst Picture, the film is up for Worst Remake, Worst Screenplay, Worst Screen Couple/Ensemble (the entire cast) and a brand-new Razzie category for 2010, Worst Eye-Gouging Mis-Use of 3-D." The Twilight Saga: Eclipse also received 9 nominations. All three of the principal characters of Eclipse are individually nominated for their acting, and the entire cast is also up for Worst Screen Ensemble.

The Last Airbender was released July 1st, 2010 and stars Jackson Rathbone, Dev Patel, Cliff Curtis, Nicola Peltz, Randall Duk Kim, Jessica Andres, Noah Ringer, Seychelle Gabriel. The film is directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was released June 30th, 2010 and stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz. The film is directed by David Slade.

The Bounty Hunter was released March 19th, 2010 and stars Jennifer Aniston, Gerard Butler, Gio Perez, Joel Garland, Jason Kolotouros, Matt Malloy, Jason Sudeikis, Adam Rose. The film is directed by Andy Tennant.

Sex and the City 2 was released May 27th, 2010 and stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Chris Noth, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Jason Lewis. The film is directed by Michael Patrick King.

Vampires Suck was released August 18th, 2010 and stars Ken Jeong, Matt Lanter, Anneliese van der Pol, Charlie Weber, Chris Riggi, Marcelle Baer, Michelle Lang, Bradley Dodds. The film is directed by Jason Friedberg, Aaron Seltzer.

    why eclipse receive a lot of bad nominations
    Vampires Suck should have 10 nominees
    The razzies are just very unfair (only popular bad films are nominated how about skyline, legion, furry vengeance, and the nutcracker)
    Jack black was good as a comedian (Gulliver's Travels is alright)
    Stallone for the expendables? (but he delivered what the matured men wants and that's awesome)!
    Clash of the Titans wasn't really that bad (bad in 3d but nice story)
    and where's My Soul to Take?
    The Razzies are just questionable!

    'Leap Year" - Amy Adams I guess need the paycheck??!!
    'The Back-Up Plan'
    "Legion"
    "When in Rome'"
    "Letters to Juliet"

    ......& why wasn't Amanda Seyfried nminated for "Worst Actress" of 2010!?!? ....Come on!!!....... "Letters to Juliet" ..."Dear John" .... She is just plain boring to watch ...no spark ...no ..."IT" factor! ...both films were boring ...and she acted the same in both ...!

    "The Bounty Hunter" was just plain slipshod!! ....As a film buff U know when a film is getting bad for me ...

    Either A) I check my watch at least 10xs ...Or B) Fall Asleep ...The "The Bounty Hunter" was the 1 film I fell asleep in !!!!

    I wish the ""The Bounty Hunter" had also recved a Razzie for "Worst Director" for Andy Tennant

    Well Twilight deserves to be on here multiple times. . . Idk. The Razzies are humorous, and I like it when people like Bullock happily accept. But it's basically the same 8 films nominated for everything on here. Worst Visual effects? Worst animated film? Where are categories like this!?

    The Last Airbender should win all of these awards LOL. As for Twilight Saga's Eclipse, I have to say it wasn't a HORRIBLE movie, it had pretty good redeeming qualities, I like David Slade and I think he improved the Twilight saga, it's more a of hate for the series I guess. I still find it funny that Vampires Suck is rated as a worse movie than the movies it's making fun of hahaha. Overall good list

    @Narrator I'm anticipating Water for Elephants as the movie to prove to me that Pattinson can move on from Twilight and make a good name for himself. I'm sure Witherspoon will carry his ass (that little spitfire could carry a lot of actors, love her), but it should be good. If anything, the production values on it look top notch.

    Agreed @Sly. There have been worser (is that a word?) films/directors this year; absolutely. As for Pattinson, I still don't see him as that bad. In fact he was pretty good in Remember Me, and his earlier works weren't terrible either. If anything, it seems the Razzies are banking off the twilight hate to just get the guy, when he was the best actor in the entire Twilight ensemble. I for one will look forward to Water for Elephants gladly (mostly due to the story and Witherspoon).

    Overall, this list isn't really surprising, and I doubt anyone of the winners will show to get their Razzie. I think Sandra Bullock did once. Right? Lol.
