    @m2 @moviegeek I think Spielberg will probably take Fincher's place when Oscar announce their nominations. Majority of time, DGA nom matches 4 out of 5 Oscar Nom. I think Fincher will be the Nolan of this year.

    @m2 Agreed.

    I can see Scorsese and Hazanavicius. No to the other three. Refn, Spielberg (war horse), and Malick should be on every list.

    Nicolas Winding Refn and Terrence Malick should be here.

    I hope and I pray that 'The Artist's" director Michel Hazanivicius gets the award!

    "The Artist"....next to 'Drive' had to be one of the most original films in 2011!!

    DGA named The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo's David Fincher..............UH! WHY! It was a "REMAKE"!

    'Midnight in Paris' another over-rated film....1/2 hour was brilliant....the ending was awful!

    'Midnight in Paris' went from a B- to a flat D- because of a bad ending!

    Sad nothing for 'Drive"...but we still love director Nicolas Winding Refn.

    I wouldn't be surprised if The Artist wins, but I'll say it as a guess. Have not been able to see it yet. I hate limited releases.
