The film explores the origins of James T. Kirk, Spock and the crew of the USS Enterprise from the original "Star Trek" series and how these iconic characters came together. According to rumors, the story involves an elder Spock (Nimoy) and a group of Romulans (led by Nero, played by Bana) being transplanted into the past where Spock must prevent the Romulans from irreparably damaging the timeline. To do so, he will have to enlist the assistance of his younger self (Quinto).
Star Trek was released May 8th, 2009 and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Leonard Nimoy, Eric Bana, Bruce Greenwood, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

I was on IMDB.com the other day, and the thing that got me was the cast as a whole. They had character listed all the way to "Flight Officer" and a bunch of other bit parts, and the thing that bugged me was that nearly every single person in the movie (including bit parts) were played by attractive people. I knew Hollywood had become shallow, but come on.
