2 Destructive Images from the Transformers 3 Set
Two new images have popped up from the Chicago based set of Michael Bay's Transformers 3. Apparently massive destruction is well underway in the new film, as well as a lot of shots of Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley running from some big robots in the new film. Check them out!

Here's what was going on on the set in Chicago as of last week...
Transformers: Dark of the Moon was released June 29th, 2011 and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Julie White, Kevin Dunn, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Alan Tudyk, John Malkovich. The film is directed by Michael Bay.

I hope this is better than the last one. I really didn't want to see it but had to take my eager 10 year old son. The only thing I got out of it was a numb arse, and for the first time EVER I nodded off...........

I don't know, all Bay is good for is action films. His scripts read as if a child wrote them.

I'm with ya, The Fallen. You can have the coolest action and special effects ever, but without story, it's meaningless. Hopefully the next installment will be better, but I'm not holding my breath :P

The Narrator: The Better Man
@ejk, @moviesRme... yea, I was actually looking forward to The Fallen on screen. When they said he would be constantly engulfed in flame (which he wasn't, he was just black and red), and that he was like THE BADASS of the universe, and the inspiration for the Decepticon logo, etc. None of those claims came across in the movie. So yea, that was one of the many flaws Transformers 2 had... Delivery.

@moviesRme actually dude the Fallen was made before this. He was in the old Transformers comics. in the comics he was a giant tank...that was on fire! Now which is more bad as...the THING that was in the movie...or a tank...thats on FIRE

No The Fallen was not in the cartoon series he was made for the movie, as for the comics I only read a couple of them and he wasn't mentioned there either. That's why I'm hoping the writers will do better with this one.

Bay is doing a good enough job with this franchise on his own; I just hope the writers redeem themselves with this installment. It was the writers who messed up with the second one not Bay; and I still enjoyed the second one; the fights were awsome.

To be honest, I didn't hate Transformers 2 as much as I hated GI Joe, but to each his own. Transformers 2 had a few glaring problems though- the underuse of human actors, the twin robots, the leg-humping robot, and the Fallen. They spent a great deal of the first movie setting up Negatron as the supreme badass of the universe, and within minutes of his resurrection, we see that he has a master. I never read the comics, so I don't know if the Fallen is there, but I definitely do not remember him from any of the TV shows.

Ever notice that all of the images that come from the pre-release transformers stuff always has like 40 pictues of running scences? and like 10 of everything else?

The Narrator: The Better Man
@Yohanne_Mwale, mindless action can only go on so long. After a while it becomes overused and pointless. With no real story to connect the action sequences it sucks. Now if they focused on the story, the action scenes would fit into place, and would be THAT MUCH cooler. So if you really like action, you'd want them to have a better turn in than the last installment. As @BD says, there should be no such thing as mindless action. There has to be some degree of depth or you just don't give a f*ck about the entire film.

If you truly followed the cartoons and know anything about the Transformers universe, you should not be in here talking about how the movies lack the good story that the franchise has had leading up to them. The transformers universe is as convoluted as the Marvel universe, so don't bring that Sh*t in here. Go back and watch the cartoons, read the comics, then tell me the story was so amazing. I guarantee you, if you think the plot in the cartoons was any better, you'll rethink it.
Grow up people, it's a movie based on a cartoon about giant alien robots at war with each other. The only problem with the movies is they have to give more screen time to human characters to give the audience something to relate to. The second movie also did feature some really bad editing, e.g. the guy getting tased and not being in one scene then being right there in the next scene like he was all along. Other than those obvious issues. I don't wanna hear this crap about horrible story in a transformers movie, I don't go to these movies for story I go for the robot fights, explosions etc. If I want story, I'll watch movies like Inception, which I've already seen twice. If you want drama, go watch The Blind Side or Up in the Air.

This will be better than TF2 from what I hear; the writers are going to have a more solid story and it will be more serious, and darker Bay said it himself when a robot dies he will stay dead. That sounds good to me as long as it isn't Optimus it will be good to me.

SCREENWRITER
Is the title going to be "Transformers 3"? There isn't a catch to it like the second one? Whatever.
The new Mikala seems like she'll be good. She'll probably do better than Megan Fox as Mikala, unless she's a terrible actress too. But, his is her first movie so we'll find out.

I dont understand why everyone say they hated the script of TROTF... Ok let's do a simple resume:
1- Autobots comes to Earth searching for the Allspark before the Decepticons finds it and use it for destruction. Ok fine!
2 - After the Allspark is destroyed, the Decepticons must find another source of energy by blowing up our sun. Only the Matrix can activate the Sun Destructor so Autobots must find it before the Decepticons. It's as simple as the first one.
I don't think the problem is the script but I thought it was too long for nothing. And I hated the fact they did not present us the new autobots and wished the Audi R8 didn't get killed that fast (that car was the most bad-ass IMO)
Hope they learned from their mistakes for the third one. Anyway, I enjoyed them all the time. When I go see a Transformers movie, I expect destruction and explosions. Not some Christopher Nolan story type.
