Based on the legendary, hard-hitting interactive video game, Max Payne tells the story of a maverick cop determined to track down those responsible for the brutal murder of his family and partner. Hell-bent on revenge, his obsessive investigation takes him on a nightmare journey into a dark underworld. As the mystery deepens, Max (Wahlberg) is forced to battle enemies beyond the natural world and face an unthinkable betrayal.
Max Payne was released October 17th, 2008 and stars Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges, Ludacris, Chris O'Donnell, Donal Logue, Amaury Nolasco, Kate Burton. The film is directed by John Moore.

well of course it should be r if you saw that nightmare max had with his babys blood everywhere! and plus the game had a dark tone and bloody deaths it should have been r no matter what, but it will still be good and ill be seeing it. just hope part 2 is r.

Once again the rating for this film is wrong. Giving a violent story a young rating means some of the edge will be taken off, and the story is usually simplified too. Still, I'm looking forward to this film.

JR is right. This movie looks cool, Im a lil angry at a PG-13 rating, but lots of good action flicks have been PG-13 lately and have been really good or damn decent. But Im ecited to see this film, it has a really nice stylized look to it.

the angels are fake guys..duh! there part of the valkrie drug and they see sh*t. if you played the game you would know but they never showed them in the game just talked about them. now we see them get over it we already knew it for months!

I'm not really impressed with this movie, actually. Like I've said before, it looks like a movie that'll drag for all of it until you reach the end where it moderately picks up for the last twenty to thirty minutes.
