Spider-man 2: According to Variety, Spider-Man 2 held a Japan-only sneak preview in Tokyo on Monday, with star Tobey Maguire in town to see 12 minutes of footage for the first time.Several hundred journalists and film industry guests crowded the ballroom at a Tokyo hotel to watch the "Director's Preview," as it was labeled.

Trailer on a master brought over from Los Angeles started with a video message by helmer Sam Raimi welcoming the Japanese guests, partly in their own language, and explaining that some of the CG and sound wasn't complete.

Spider-Man 2 opens in Japan July 10, day and date with the U.S. launch.

Spider-Man 2 was released June 30th, 2004 and stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Alfred Molina, Rosemary Harris, J.K. Simmons, Donna Murphy, Daniel Gillies. The film is directed by Sam Raimi.
