Alone In The Dark

Alone In The Dark

Rated: R
Edward Carnby, detective of the paranormal, unexplained and supernatural, investigates a mystery that brings him face to face with bizarre horrors that prove both psychologically disturbing and lethal, as he discovers that evil demons worshiped by an ancient culture called the Abskani are planning on coming back to life in the 21st century to once again take over the world... and only he and a young genius with an incredible memory (and his ex-girlfriend), Aline Cedrac, stand in their way. Standing in Carnby's way, however, is the impact that a brief encounter with an evil spirit called the Queen had upon his mind, as he slowly finds himself overpowered by the forces of darkness as they eat away at his very sanity...

Aliens of the Deep

Aliens of the Deep

Rated: G
"Aliens of the Deep" is the result of several dramatic and visually stunning deep-sea expeditions to hydrothermal vent sites in the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans. These vent sites are violent volcanic regions where the interaction between ocean and molten rock create plumes of super-heated, chemically-charged water that serve as unimaginable oases for animals unlike anything ever discovered. Six-foot tall stomach-less worms with blood-red plumes, blind white crabs, and an inconceivable biomass of shrimp capable of "seeing" heat all compete to find just the right location in the flow of the super-heated, life-giving water that surrounds these vents. Unlike all other life on Earth, these creatures are not dependent on sunlight and their ecosystems are as close to alien as anything ever imagined. They provide one possible blueprint for the life that might exist beyond our world. Cameron is joined on his search for the strange and alien creatures that live in the hydrothermal vent sites by a team of young NASA scientists and marine biologists. They share his interests as they consider how these life forms represent life we may one day find in outer space, not only on faraway planets orbiting distant stars, but also within our own solar system. Stretching imagination from the depths of the sea into the far reaches of our universe, "Aliens of the Deep" takes audiences on a journey to encounter alien life, face to face, and to inspire a new generation of exploration.
Beyond the Gates

All five of the North American men were killed by Waodani tribesmen. Following the killings, Elisabeth Elliot, the wife of one of the men Rachel Saint, the sister of another went to live with the Waodani. Soon after the killings and the new relationships forged with the families, the homicide rate in the tribe was reduced to virtually zero. Later, Steve Saint, the son of one of the slain men moved his family from Florida to live with the same Waodani family that had killed his father.
Lost Embrace

Lost Embrace

Rated: NONE
Lost Embrace stars Daniel Hendler (Winner 2004 Berlin Film Festival/Best Actor) as Ariel, a recent college dropout with hopes of escaping a career behind the counter of his mother's lingerie store in a Buenos Aires shopping mall. The job does come with its perks, as tantalizing as helping beautiful women slip in and out of lingerie can be, but the tales of the shopkeepers have grown stale; dressing-room trysts with Rita can't go on forever; and Estela, his now pregnant exgirlfriend, no longer needs him. It could grow into a comfortable routine, but with a passport to world travel and new adventures at his fingertips, Ariel seeks a life of greater aspirations. And Ariel can almost taste it.

Travellers and Magicians

Travellers and Magicians

Rated: NONE
Khyentse Norbu's follow-up to his audience favorite "The Cup" is the first feature film ever shot in the tiny kingdom of Bhutan. One of Himalayan Buddhism's most revered lamas, Khyentse (aka Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche) weaves parallel fable-like tales about two men who seek to escape their mundane lives in "Travellers and Magicians". Young government official Dondup dreams of escaping to America while stuck in a ravishingly beautiful but isolated village. When the first chance arrives, he immediately heads for town and an awaiting visa, but things don't go quite as planned. Missing the bus, he hitchhikes with an elderly apple seller, a sage young monk, and an old man travelling with his beautiful daughter Sonam. Along the way, the perceptive yet mischievous monk tells Dondup a story of another young man who sought a land far away: a tale of lust, jealousy and murder that holds up a mirror to the restless Dondup and his blossoming attraction to the innocent Sonam. "Travellers and Magicians" is a magical mixture of rustic road movie and mystical fable...a potpourri of desire and its consequences, set in a breathtaking landscape.
