Rated:NONE This documentary, filmed over several years, follows director Steve James as he goes back to the small southern Illinois town of Pomona to reignite his friendship with the young man, Stevie Fielding, whom he used to mentor as a "Big Brother" back in the early 1980s. What he discovers is that the societal and familial factors that made Stevie a troubled boy have only continued, with the adult Stevie drifting in and out of a life of crime and behavior that eventually lands him in prison (where he remains to this day).
