This infamous island, once InGen's site B, has become both a primordial breeding ground for John Hammond's magnificent creations and a magnet for thrill-seekers eager to encounter them. Loosely based on Joseph Conrad's novel, "The Heart of Darkness", the film transplants the tale to the Vietnam War. A young American captain is given the assignment to hunt down and kill one of his own, a colonel, who has apparently gone insane. The deranged colonel murders hundreds of innocent people and constructs a strange kingdom for himself deep in the jungle, where he is deified by his followers.
Francis Ford Coppola has added 53 minutes of additional footage, including The French plantation sequence, an expanded Playboy playmates sequence, a new scene with Marlon Brando, and new footage of the navy patrol boat near the beginning of the journey up river. |

Paul Tannek (Jason Biggs) is a small town scholarship student in the big city having trouble fitting in at his New York college. With his plaid hunter's cap and kind, good-natured personality, Paul is an outsider among the self-anointed, sophisticated hipster crowd. As for his pot-smoking, girl-chasing roommates, Paul's need to study takes a back seat to their overwhelming desire to party. Roommate Chris can only offer a floundering Paul this piece of advice: "For your own good, just try to be not so much like you." |
