Tremors II: Aftershocks

Tremors II: Aftershocks

Rated: PG
Our underground monster-killing heros from the original Tremors have split up. Soured that everyone else profited from Graboids-mania, Fred Ward "re-enlists" to battle a new breed of Mexican Graboids. This sequal pokes so much fun at its original plot, exaggerated characters, cheap exposions, and Graboid gore. Tremors I is a prequesite.

James and the Giant Peach

James and the Giant Peach

Rated: PG
A lonely nine-year-old English orphan is sent to live with his horribly wicked and greedy Aunts Spiker and Sponge. Unwanted by them and forced to perform their menial chores, the boy dreams about going to New York City. When a magical 20-foot peach appears on a tree outside his house, James' curiosity overcomes him and he takes a bite. After he sneaks a taste of the giant fruit, a glowing tunnel appears inside the peach, James enters it and is introduced to Centipede, Earthworm, Ladybug, Glow-worm, Grasshopper and Miss Spider -- a diverse group of bug companions who are quick to tell the hapless boy about their hopes and dreams for the future. When Spiker and Sponge come searching for James, Centipede gnaws through the stem of the peach, causing it to crash from the tree and temporarily flatten the Aunts in the process. After dealing a blow to the aunts, the fruit and its inhabitants go rolling out to sea, launching the worried passengers on a series of wildly imaginative adventures with New York City as their final destination.

Fear

Fear

Rated: R
Nicole Walker (Reese Witherspoon) always dreamed of being swept away by someone special -- someone who was strong and sensitive and cared for her more than anything else in the world. At first Nicole is mesmerized by David (Mark Wahlberg), a polite, respectful-yet sexy-charmer she meets at a "rave" party, having slipped out for a wild night with her thrill-seeking best friend Margo (Alyssa Milano). But then Nicole catches a glimpse of David's dark side, and her dream becomes a nightmare. When she tries to break free, her family is forced to draw together in order to confront David's determined, vicious attempts to take her back.
August

August

Rated: PG
It is a sultry August, and the Davies household has visitors. Ieuan(Anthony Hopkins), who has managed the estate for many years for little reward, has fallen passionately in love with Helen Blaithwaite (Rate Burton), but his passion, as yet, is unrequited. Sian(Rhian Morgan), his niece, is secretly in love with Dr. Lloyd (Gawn Grainger), an idealistic conservationist who is growing increasingly disillusioned with country life. Dr. Lloyd, however, like Ieuan, has designs on the exotic Helen. Both Ieuan and Lloyd seek solace in drink and feelings run high. In a series of tragi-comic episodes, the ordered Victorian calm of the Davies household begins to disintegrate over one pivotal weekend.
