DRAGONBALL EVOLUTION (2009)

Watched the movie today. I have no problem with the addaption from anime to cinema, but why did J. Wong have to direct it, he completely messed up the camera work. Oh and the music doesn't match with what is happening in the movie. Otherwise it was ok. But I have to admit I would rather sit an extra 30 - 40 mins in the cinema and have them show and tell more about who, what and where than watch a movie that is a nutshell version of a brilliant anime series.

I think the User Rating on IMDB it's gonna be 4.3/10 , or maybe it is to much ?

I agree with GK and U-DBZ, alot of people say that the movie was terrible,still goin to see it though. But according to what I saw in the previews it seems to have a lot of potential to be a great movie.

why is evrone downing this movie. I am a true fan of dragonball z and any thing that goes with it. I must be the only one that wants to wach this moive. Yea I may not have seen the moive yet but it looks to that thay got it right because the only chater that goku fights in dragonball is picolo that thay could real make a moive about. I hope thay make a second movie about dragonball z and i hope that they get the same people to do the moive. and i can't weight to see the moive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, just finished watching this movie...OMFG DO NOT PAY TO SEE THIS!! It is absolutely horrifically terrible. The movie seems completely unplanned from the get-go. I feel it's my duty now to scribe a Dragonball movie that doesn't rape the franchise 12x over! I cannot believe something with this horrific screenplay was green lit?!?!?! The dialogue was atrocious, the acting was disgusting, the special effects were way below what was expected. Movies from a few years ago had better special effects, like LotR, for God's sake. The story was so disjointed throughout the movie, getting thrown back and forth, with no easy transition or explanation. People who've never heard of Dragonball will be thinking..."WTF?". The people who love the series will be thinking...THE EXACT SAME THING, along with being EXTREMELY angry for what Ben Ramsey, James Wong, and 20th Century has done.

Just 1 hour and 24 minutes.....If this movie doesn't work I'm going to get mad at James Wong....

Just watched the movie dagonball evolution because of a leak online you can find it on google or click here http://movie25.com/dragonball-evolution-2009_4422.html ......neways this movie is horrible they ruined dragonball for any fan and anybody who doesnt know anything about it wont even like it.The story is way too short and is way off track according to the original dragonball.its really disgusting its not even worth watching online. I feel bad for whoever produced and directed that movie.....it feels like it was too rushed, a movie like this shoud take alot more time to make with good and accurate detail and should be longer than 80 minutes...neways to all dragonball fans i feel really bad and for the producer and director dont EVER make a movie in your life again...this movie shouldnt even be allowed to be released to the public for how horrible it its...anyways you guys watch and you decide for yourselves....the quality of the video isnt that good but watchable beter to watch it free then to waste money on garbage actually beter not to watch at all.

The only thing that bugs me is the image of Goku in his Saiyan 'Ape' form. There is no hair! It's just way off. Unless that photo was taken before they had finnished applying the makeup. The face looks about right, just no hair. I'll give it a chance - for all we know - we may be pleasantly surprised.

I think you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I think we should give the movie a chance before we judge anything about it. Trust me I'm a one of the biggest DB fans out there and I'll give my real opinion when the movie come out, so until then stop dogging the movie until you see it!
The trailer is supposed to be coming out later this fall so we'll see until then.

Goku is in High School!? Krillen isn't in the movie!? Justin Chatwin is playing Goku!? Why is the Dragonball glowing between Justin Chatwin's hands like it is a Kamehameha Wave!? Wow, for any real DBZ fan this movie is going to suck big time!!

I've been following this movie for a while now...and I have to say I'm REALLY disappointed with things so far. The trailer better be the best thing ever or I think this movie is gonna suck big time. But regardless, I think it will do great at the box office because of all the teens and fans.

About time they make this movie I've been hearing about it for three years now and I can't wait to see it.

well.. I always wished they would do a big-budget monster flick of Dragonball but had they made a dragonball Z movie i would be more excited. Super Saiyan is the only thing that would get me anxious to see it right off the bat. I'll wait for a preview to come out before passing full judgement though.

Honestly though, it would have been awesome to start in the Frieza storyline where Goku first reaches super saiyan near the end of the movie. oh well.

The only way we'll ever see a DragonBall Z movie that is everything like the anime is if a die hard DBZ fan made the movie, not some jerk that just wants to make a quick buck.
He needs to take DBZ 101.

guys you just have to know what your talking about...its called "Dragonball" for a reason! in dragonball, Goku wasnt Buff at all! he was a skinny bastard. your all thinking of "dragonball Z" in the next movie, they will probably pick someone alot bigger. but in this one i repeat "DRAGONBALL" HE IS SKINNY!

So far as a can say, this'll be dumb, and DOHboy, Goku is so a kid in Dragonball, thanks for knowing stuff before you post. Anyway, I've not gotten to into this series, not as great as everyone thinks, but yea.
