Kevin Spacey plays a mysterious new patient at a mental hospital who claims to come from a planet called K-PAX. As his psychiatrist tries to figure out how to help him, the doctor gradually begins to realize the so-called alien is having a remarkable effect on the mental health of the hospital's other patients. Determined to prove the stranger is nothing more than a victim of multiple-personality disorder, the doctor soon finds himself doubting his own diagnosis. Based on the 1995 Gene Brewer novel of the same name.
