"Antarctica" is a unique romantic comedy set in Tel Aviv that ignores politics - and reality - to focus on its characters' domestic and romantic problems, including a "Jewish mother from hell," who is marvelously played by a man, in homage to 70's cult film star, Divine. The main character is about to hit his thirtieth birthday and feels he's lost his spark, when he meets a handsome journalist, who brings warmth and humor to a life that is heading towards a big chill.
