This film is about a 17-year-old girl, Cassandra Mortmain, and her very unusual family that consists of a writer for a father, who hasn't written a word in 12 years, her nudist mother and her brother and sister. While the family is living in a decaying old castle somewhere in England they meet the rightful owners, American brothers Neil and Simon and their mother. In a bid to ensure the family is kept in good standing Cassandra's father tries to arrange the marriage of his two daughters to the wealthy boys. As the story unfolds Cassandra has to look deep into herself to find her true feelings for either Simon, Neil or the family's servant Stephen.
