Lucky for me, i was able to see Zombieland earlier than other people because UCLA students were able to attend a free showing of the movie in Westwood. Going in, all I had in my mind was Shaun of the Dead. That is something that I enjoy greatly, and I hold it highly as a horror movie comedy. So for me, this movie was going to try and live up to that.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It combined the perfect amount of horror scary moments and with hilarious comedy. The story was interesting. I liked the fact that you really didn't know the characters names, except a couple. They were all named for the place in which they came. One thing I liked about this zombie movie is that it starts after everything is complete chaos. Then it continues from there. Instead of beginning with the first infected then continuing on. I thought the acting was pretty good. Nothing really to comment on, except for that I felt that Woody Harrilson's character was really really funny. There weren't many visuals that really grabbed my eye but being a zombie movie, there usually isn't much that you can make crazy awesome in a zombie film. I felt that Ruben Fliesher did an acceptable job making this film especially because it is hard to balance the correct amount of horror with comedy which they did correctly.
