The actor is reportedly fuming after authorities in Hungary confiscated 85 weapons found in a warehouse believed to be automatic assault rifles, including AK-47s and sniper rifles. US Weekly reports that the paperwork stated that they were 'non-functional' but the weapons found actually still worked. Hajdu Janos and Zsolt Bodnar, the director and deputy director of Hungary's Anti-Terrorism Unit, said: 'We can confirm that weapons were confiscated at an airport. 'This morning a private plane brought guns wrapped in a parcel from a company to an individual [in Budapest].
Guns like these are highly illegal to transport even if they were to used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren't.' Filming for the zombie film has already taken place in Valletta in Malta, Falmouth in Cornwall and Glasgow in Scotland. Pitt, plays Gerry Lane in the movie, isn't too pleased at the unexpected delay. A source said: The film is already over budget and over schedule. Brad is furious.' Lane works at the United Nations Post-war Commission, collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived a zombie attack in the new movie. The film is based Max Brooks' 2006 novel World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War. World War Z, which is directed by Marc Forster, is due to be released next year.
very interesting. This film was going to go over budget from the beginning....there is just so much going on. I have doubts about the route they chose to take this film but i still cant wait 4to see it.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there ISN'T an invisible demon about to eat your face...
@skywise same dude, i can't wait i've been on the set twice as an extra and it looks awesome. It be an enjoyable but i doubt it will be profitable due to the high-budge and well its a zombie flick
@jayaottley I know that the zombie genre was getting beaten into the ground with a lot of garbage but the interest in The Walking Dead tv series just might give this film a little lift. There was a time when the zombie sub-genre was aniche audience but now, with the brilliant team behind TWD on AMC it is reaching a much larger audience than it has in the past. i dont know if this is a good thing or a bad thing for zombie films...only time will tell.
I think with Brad Pitt's production team and the fact that he stars in the movie give the film a little cred to those who have not experienced Brooks' genius novel. I hope it succeeds because i love the genre but there i really a double edged sword at work here.
