great adaption though over stays its welcome a little. and i cant believe this movie is so long and there was still stuff cut out i mean damn. i am glad though that allot of stuff form the fantastic graphic novel made it in.
The movie was way above your head. You don't understand adult subtleties, because, well, you're not an adult. Watchmen was a psychological, emotional breakdown of superheroes, beautifully crafted and told. And Ozymandias didn't kill billions, he killed millions, huge number difference.
While it was entirely amoral, they kept their mouths shut because Dr. Manhattan decided to take the fall for it, bypassing a possible nuclear war with Russia by finding a common enemy (which is really the only thing that brings humans together, a common adversary, not the idealist notion of peace).
Freakin' stupid movie. Too much drama, don't know why they don't tall it was the guy in the purple suit that killed billions but no they chooses to keep their f*ckin' mouth shut
i thought this movie was one of the best superhero movies ever made! but the ending was kinda of weak but also a good ending at the same time i guess it is a teat or somthing to see if they would make fans of the comics mad or not i dont know but w/e still a great movie and in my top 100
I just hated it. Way too much Violence from befinning to end. Instead of sending a negative message of: we will kill someone who maybe exposes our operation, for example, they should have worked with him or even retrain him/her to not get sloppy in exposing anything.Yes, I know the mindset in the movies is to "kill" someone. They think it is "interesting" this way. Personally, I'm getting Tried of this.
i honestly do not think it could be made into a better movie. i believe the actors were dead on, it had the action and it followed the book to a "T"
with that said, i could not find myself getting into it as much as other movies i have seen not b/c of the movie itself, but b/c i knew what was going to happen before it happened. this movie is a perfect reminder to people as to why movies should not follow books to a "T" and i hope directors learn from it
with that said, i do not hate zack snyder for it... i applaud him for putting forth the best effort possible and bringing one of my favorite graphic novels to the big screen. it is not his fault it failed
Comrade I really wish, looking back, that a studio executive had told the screenwriters and Snyder "Two Hours, fifteen minutes. Every minute you go over will decrease your paycheck." If Snyder had been forced to reprocess the book and actually adapt it rather than trying to fit in as much stale reproduction as possible, this might have passed the 75% margin and been something akin to V For Vendetta, wherein it captured the spirit of the GN well, and didn't try to do things that don't work in a film. It's basically a video companion to the books, stiffly acted by all but a few.
I hope that this movie will be kick-ass because, to be quite honest, I didn't care too much for the comic. It was the ending to that disappointed me the most aside from the lack of super-hero fights scenes.

Shades of greatness tainted by too much filler. Visually stunning however, Zack Snyder is the man!

This movie was like watching a dog take a dump for me - can't take my eyes off it, but still left with a steaming pile of dog crap at the end.
