Okay where to begin. I was really looking forward to this movie, although I've never read the book before I was still very excited. I got to see the film in IMAX (which this was the first film I'd ever seen in IMAX) and I have to say I walked out of the theater pretty upset. I couldn't really follow the story at all, and for me that is very very rare. The whole issue with the nudity and blood and gore and stuff I knew was going to be there so I wasn't very shocked at all, but I didn't want to keep seeing Dr. Manhattan completely naked for the majority of the time you see him. The visuals were very good which I expected, Zack Snyder's direction of the film was still good in my opinion. The overall acting in the film to me was pretty average, although I will say I really enjoyed Jackie Earle Haley's performance as Rorschach a lot. But in the end for me it's all about the story and how you can follow it, and in this film I just couldn't. I really wanted to like this film. I don't know how accurate they are to the novel but I just couldn't understand everything going on half the time and that's what killed this film for me.

All I'm saying is that I couldn't follow the story completely and I was not the only one. I gave the film a 3.5 rating cause overall with how it was visualized and how it was performed by the cast and the visual effects made this still a good movie in that sense. I'm not saying the movie was terrible because it wasn't.

When it comes to Dr. M's nudity, I agree with Vamp 100%. It did not bother me at all and I do not understand what the big deal is.

Besides, they're not going to make the film so that only the people who've read the novel could follow the events. I mean, how would you make the money BACK that you spent on the film? See it again, and PAY ATTENTION.

I agree with VIS (His first comment, I can't recommend the novel..... yet). This film perfectly explained the events going on, and if you couldn't follow it, you had to have been making out with someone or something.
As far as Dr. M's nudity goes: It's there. Get the f*ck over it. You don't complain in movies when women are fully nude, do you?

I don't get why people can't understand what's going on...it shows how low your attention span is. PAY ATTENTION
