As the previews ended and the opening of the movie started I could feel it that rush that I was here in this theatre finally seeing the film that I and many others have been waiting for for the longest time and when it was over I couldn't help but say thank god they got it right. The Visuals are stunning and the Special effects are great and part of what makes all that stuff great is the fact that they have a good movie with the most bizare story to make it all great. I think what has always made the Watchman an unique story is the fact that it is a very multilayered story and that is one of its strong points I think and the film does not take that away from the graphic novel. The movie also has a lot of exploitable and graphic scenes that some might think is overdone I don't think so but I've been watching R rated movies since I can remember so to me violence is violence. The acting from the cast is great Patrick Wilson,Billy Crudup,Jackie Earle Haley, and Jeffery Dean Morgan were all great Malin Akerman well she wasn't bad but she wasn't all that great and Matthew Goode was good I just felt he was a little to young for the part but I don't care I like the guy but it was Jackie Earle Haley's performance that was the best. The change to the End did not really bother me all that much I know a few who were upset by it but not every thing can stay the same in an adaptation. I never doubted Zak Snyder I knew he could pull it off and he did this movie has been threw many directors and a lot of them were good I just never thought it would of been done with care (due to the fact that hollywood wanted to update the story)except Terry Gilliam his version would of been cool but in a way I'm glad those versions didn't happen because I was very pleased with Zak Snyder's version and plus it only adds more to the history behind the Watchmen. This movie in short for non fans who go into this thinking they are going to get X-Men or Batman you guys won't Watchmen is not the popcorn action superhero film you are used to this is more dark and has more story and ideas than action witch is awesome. The movie runs for two hours and forty five minutes and while I was pleased with the length I still wish I could of seen the three and a half hour version on the big screen.
