As good a movie as this is, I don't think it is a 5 star movie like many others do (my wife included). Its story is interesting and filled with "take care of our world" messages. Technically-speaking, it is Pixar's best film to date. Wall-E the robot is a remarkably personal, inanimate object. The real hero of the story, however, is not EVE or Wall-E, but the Captain of the ship who responds out of intellect versus programming (i.e. EVE, who repeatedly saying "directive" about why she's doing what she does) and works to save mankind and the Earth. The only complaint I had with the film is that it is at times a little drawn out and "silent" (not much happening other than Wall-E interacting with nothing around him - though there are some very comical and neat moments in that as well). It is easy for children to lose focus in those stretches (my 8 year old looked at me and asked "What's the point? I don't see the point."). However, the film as a whole is still another animated homerun for Pixar and worth watching.
**Side Note: The Pixar cartoon short that precedes Wall-E is HYSTERICAL (adults and children alike laughed uncontrollably in the theater - easily my new favorite short!)!! Enjoy - I know I did.**
