You know the writing is great when an entire scene takes place with no words at all, just music, and it can still bring a tear to your eye. Up has just that scene and its, well simply put, wonderful. The people of Pixar are some of the most talented in the film industry not just today but I think ever. Top notch creations come from Pixar and nothing less than that. 'Up' is such a simple title for a movie that just has so much humor, wonderful cg, and seemingly unlimited heart.
"Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Junior Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life."
A film for everyone, a story of life and love and the possibilities of a new adventure in life(no matter your age) and that sometimes the unexpected can be the very thing you need. That and a talking dog named Dug as well as a bird named Kevin...? Please see this, it is another true classic from Pixar.

Just as Jack Black said at the Oscars this year: "do a couple of Dreamworks films and bet it all on Pixar."
