Pixar always delivers, but this surpassed everyones expectations. Not only is it the only Pixar movie to make me cry, but it's also the only one that makes me laugh. As I'm writing this review the opening scene with no dialogue is on and I'll say now that it's my favorite moment every in any movie. Up makes a brilliant change from incredibly sad, to hysterically hilarious. The movie follows Carl, a sad and lonely old man who plans to take his house to South America as he promised his now dead wife. Along the way, he's accompanied by Russell, a boy scout, and Dug a talking dog, who help him save a rare bird from Carl's childhood idol. When I read that summary back in 2008 I thought it sounded stupid and was worriedit would be Pixar's first bad film, now isn't it funny how I thought it would be horrible, now it's my favorite Pixar movie. Definetley deserves it's Oscar nominations.
