This is my favorite M. Night Shyamalan film I love Signs and the Sixth Sense, but for me Unbreakable is superior to those movies. What I like most about Unbreakable is that its a thinking mans super hero story that doesn't involve big action sequences, special F/X, and the audience doesn't need a short attention span. If you expect this movie to be like Spiderman or X-Men films then you are going to be watching the wrong movie. The movie has a very original story its about a man finding out and excepting that he's not an ordinary man and that he's even more than what he can be. Bruce Willis gives a great performance as a character who is depressed that his life hasn't been going the way he probably intended and his struggling with many problems. Samuel L. Jackson also gives a great performance as a man who has always been struggling do to his handicap but doesn't give up on himself. Both the characters that these actors play are very interesting due to the fact that they are completely different from each other and yet they need each other in order to find there place in this world. I think thats why I consider this to be my favorite M. Night film is the fact the both actors play very rich and interesting characters and this movie does play out more like a weird twilight Zone drama more so than Signs and Sixth Sense. This movie may not be for everyone its a slow intellectual, psychological drama, fantasy that doesn't have to many thrilling moments in it and to be honest thats why I like the movie.

Great review. I completely agree. A masterful depiction of what a "real-life" super hero movie should be. And, like any great movie, the end is the best part.
