Tropic Thunder: Review By PUNISHER

Robert Downey Jr. may never go full retard but this movie certainly does, and its one of the funniest comedies in years because of that. I knew going in that it would be funny but not at this level. Its harsh, foul-mouthed, and hilarious.

Everyone puts in a top notch comedy performance for Tropic Thunder. Ben Stiller as the has been action star couldnt be better, and to think he also directed this is awesome. Robert Downey Jr. is always top notch and this is no exception. His role in this will have you in stitches. To say he really gets into character and loses himself in that character is a gross understatement. Through out the film you have to keep reminding yourself that its Downey Jr. hes that good. Jack Black as the drug addicted dumbass gives a very memorable performance as well. Hes a drug addict without his daily fix and he literally loses his mind because of his lack of narcotics. It makes for some crazy antics along the way.

I was delightfully surprised when I saw the special effects, they're great. For comedies that require special effects, the effects they have arent usually this well done. I have to give it to Ben Stiller, he really pulled it off this time. Its a good thing he did because I dont think I could take another Zoolander. A comedy that can easily compete with Pineapple Express and Superbad. This film really holds its own.

Five spoiled, mildly retarded (never go full retard) actors thrown into the Vietnamese jungle and left to "make a movie" but what they soon realize is this is the most real most authentic war movie they have ever been apart of or seen. In fact they just may not make it out together, at least not on the same flight. You mmmmmm make me happy.
