Everyone in this movie has gone 'full retard'...

Tropic Thunder is one of those movies you WANT, desperately, to like. Lots of folks (I guess those that still have a 2nd-grader's sense of humor) think it was one of the funniest movies they've ever seen.

But...like so much of Ben Stiller's work, this, too, is just another disappointment.

Over-the-top stuff that's just not funny. Charicatures of Hollywood hot-shots that are just too close-to-home to be amusing.

The only thing really amusing in this entire pic is Tom Cruise and his Hollywood-Jew-Mogul portrayal. LOVED that. They should just make that into the movie.

You've likely, by now, got a sense from the synopsis, trailers and other reviews that this is what happens when you take a bunch of Hollywood hotshots trying to make a war pic and toss them into the real 'sh*t'.

It was entertaining...but just barely entertaining enough to keep be awake.

The earlier feature (Kung Fu Panda) was a MUCH better film.

    I admit this movie is 2nd grade humor,but what did you think it was going to be.No,this movie may not be for everyone,but I have seen worse.I think one star may have been a little harsh.
