Transformers for all of it's big budget and many special effects was a decent enough introduction to the characters. It provided us with a small glimpse of the history of Cybertron. The core of Transformers 2, to me anyway, is about exploring that history further. From learning about how they create their energy source, to their encounters with mankind, to even their social structure, we are filled in on several key aspects of the Transformers. As far as the movie goes, and it goes basically all over the world, it is non-stop action. There are moments of respit for humour, or sorrow, but essentially the movie is about unleashing the Decepticons anger. The visual aspect of the movie doesn't disappoint. The Autobots and Decepticons look as good as they did before, and the new additions seem to fit right in. The storyline of Sam actually seems to work better than I had anticipated the storyline to. Bay manages to create a scenario in which Sam is not along for the ride (pun intended), but is driving the storyline. As sequels go these days, this one is much better than most, but has room for improvement, and plenty of stories left to tell.

The Narrator: The Better Man
I think it is a good short review. And Newkill, grow up. I agree Portfan, as far as sequels go it was pretty cool, and has left for improvement as well.
