This was one of the few romantic films i actually enjoyed. There was a very well played storyline. The only critism i have with the story is that at the end she should have just given him the necklace rather than throw it off the back of the ship. Its going to sink to the bottom away from the ship and be covered by sand never to be found, reality speaking that is. That was my one main critism with the story.

The acting was top notch. Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet were wonderful together. They had great chemestry together and it made it enjoyable fro me to watch. Everyone els definitely did their roles justice as well. Kathy Bates version of Molly Brown was very historically correct. She didnt an absolutely terrific job with the role. Bruce Ismay, played by Jonathan Hyde, was another role that was very historically accurate. He did his role justice. And how about the picking for the role off Thomas Andrews? Its scary how close Victor Garber looked to Thomas Andrews. And he acted him very well.

James Cameron directed this film splendedly. He had an eye for the way he wanted everything to look and he did it. James Horner's score for the film was nothing short of a masterpiece.

Visuals were top notch. The only critism i can really think of is the bodies at the end when they are frozen in the water. You could tell they were fake. But other than that wow! The ship sinking and cracking and all the running water and the lighting! Whoo everything worked!

This film definitely deserves no less than 5 stars across the board. This is most definitely the best movie to this date.

I totally agree about the ending. She should've given him the necklace after making him sit through that 3hr story! And the fact that he actually appreciated it, and felt guilty about how he was out to scavenge for lost treasures seemed to be more than enough for her to give it to him. But no. (Skitso!!!!)

I liked the second half a lot better than the first cuz the musical score kicked into gear and the special fx were excellent! So realistic! Even for today's standards. I thought the story would stick more to accuracy of the facts about how and why it all happened, and was a bit surprised at how the fictional romance overtook the whole movie.

Oh well, it was still good. And I agree about the acting! Everyone embraced their roles to perfection!
