Now onto the rip-off part. This uses the same camera technique that Cloverfield, Quarantine, and Diary of the Dead used. If you haven't seen any of those movies (which is very unlikely) let me tell you that they show us the movie through the eyes of a person who has a camera and is filming the event. But like I said, I don't mind rip-offs. Actually some of them I really like, just as long as they are well made, and are better than the original idea.
Our story is just zombies. Nothing original, but I am always a sucker for zombie flicks, which is a surprise because it seems as though there are some bad ones lately. This is not what I would categorize as "bad," but definitely not under "good." It is average. The story is motionless, and drags in most parts, but in some it's entertaining enough. I finished the movie, and sat through it, I just wasn't always focused to the TV. Toward the end they bring out this story of some bad guys, and totally throw away zombies. That was kinda lame. To me the movie fell apart toward the end.
The acting is actually well done, and in no parts was it cheesy. No known actors, but these ones all do fine! I have no complaints here.
There are 2 directors. Kevin Gates, and Michael Bartett, who also wrote and produced. They do only ok. But like I have been saying, the film dragged quite a bit, and even though the film is a tad over 1h 20mins, it still seemed longer. But the good is that there are a few scenes that are pretty creepy. I think the first zombie sighting in a house was pretty cool. I think that was the first time they showed a zombie.
The visuals are decent here. Normally the look of a zombie doesn't give me the creeps, but here they do. Not enough for me to ponder on them, or keep me up at night or anything, but when I was in the moment I was kinda creeped out. I guess that's one way I could put it.
Overall, not bad.. just not good. I liked some things, and think that it could have been better. If you don't like movies that are like many others that have come out recently, then you shouldn't try this. It has a mix of Quarantine, and a slight feel of 28 Days Later, but not as good as those 2 films. I will say that if zombies were to attack, I would think that this would be a pretty realistic vision of it.
So it's decent.

I bought this movie for $9 at Walmart. I should be payed $9 just to have watched this waste of time. From the beginning of this millennium has been an onslaught of terrible, below even the earliest B-movie attempts at zombie greatness. The worst being that these horrible movies are plaguing our local movie rental facilities, such as blockbuster. My question is how can a movie of such low standards be represented and sold next to movies of any worth. My review of this movie is two severed thumbs down.
I don't understand how anyone can condone this movie unless to be seen for free or more reasonable paid to see it.
For all those who agree with me are those who really know their zombie movies. Those who think this movie is good or "great" should probably never have any input on any zombie movie to be made in the future.

Great review, but Zombie movies suck (Exception being the ORIGINAL "Dawn of the Dead" and the "Resident Evil" films.), so you won't get me to rent this. Great review, though, like I said!!!!!

Great review. Don't really want to see this because I am getting sick of these Shakey-Cam movies. Cloverfield sucked, Diary of the Dead was only ok and Quarantine was pretty good.
