The X-Files: I Want to Believe: Review By CDT1013

A lovely ending to an era.

Keep in mind that as a huge x-files fan, I am slightly biased. Awaiting this movie brought the huge nerd back in me. From that true fan stand point, I think the movie was true to the original series, with the feeling of a good episode. Though it didn't turn out to be quite as good as I hoped, It still filled the void that the somewhat unfinished ending of the series left behind. The actors still had great chemistry, as the two legendary characters, and it was great to see the couple in action again. Honestly, it comes down to the fact that the overall story could have been better, I think that Cater may have started to loose his edge. Never the less, I loved watching it, and I loved having a real ending to the story.

    This better not be the end of the series. There's still the whole oncoming alien invasion thing, remember? Highlights of this movie for me were the mention of William, Amanda Peet and her plummet, and of course, the best part, Walter f*cking Skinner.

    Like I said, they had better do a third, because the only closure this provided was towards Mulder and Scully's relationship. It provided no ending whatsoever for the mythology, which is the essence of the X Files. Great review though.

Were you taking lines from The Dark Knight and twisting them around lol that was pretty funny. I think I did the same with TDK and Collateral. What was I thinking lol. For some reason I can now remember looking at a blank screen when the computer was off waiting for something to happen lol weird night last night lol.
