To say that Mickey Rourke was anything short of terrific in this movie would be a flat-out lie. He speaks with an easiness and confidence that begs a certain question: "Has Mickey Rourke--not just 'The Ram'--been in this position before?" His acting is so solid it seems that he speaks from personal experience. Also, highlights include a great script and a terrific supporting cast including the still hot Marisa Tomei and the bitchy but completely believable Evan Rachel Wood in another "I'm a broken teenager" role.

Arnonofsky is brilliant and Rourke was amazing a well deserved oscar nomination. Arnonofsky deserves best director though for Pi, Requiem For A Dream, and The Wrestler i'm still stunned that he's never even been nominated.
