Funny movie with an offbeat and quirky supporting turn by Ben Kingsley.

uirkyI thought Ben Kingsley's performance as the quirky, stoner psychologist really made the film better than it actually was. He brought something extra to the role as as a man who who buys marijuana from the teenage main character, in exchange offering psychological counseling to him. The two gradually become friends while both are at a crossroads during a troubled period in both their lives.
great movie. the buddy film aspects of kingsley and peck was excellent, as was the character development, story, believable dialogue and even the nastalgic aspects (for people my age, i was 16 in 1994 which is when this movie is based) was even great, and i generally hate nastalgia.
