Ben Affleck has found the perfect mixture of everything you need in a film and blended it together to make this masterpiece of a film called The Town.

In The Town th story takes place in the rough streets of Charlestown, Massachussetts. In it the film revolves around the 4 Kings of Robbery: Doug (Affleck), Jem (Jeremy Renner), Dez (Owen Burke), and Albert "Gloansy" Magloan (Slaine) as they are being persued by a tough FBI Agent (Jon Hamm). The screenplay done was absolutely Grade A and Ben Affleck, Peter Craig, Aaron Stockard have done a fantastic job writing this and they will no doubt get a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.

The acting I must say is one of the best, if not the best group of acting of 2010. Everyone who starred in this film deserves alot of recognition. Ben Affleck as Doug MacRay was very good. Affleck shows that he is still a top notch actor by pulling off an impresive Boston accent and getting loss in his characters emotions. Blake Livelys performance was a real stand out and cements her legitimacy as an actress. The entire supporting cast were all truly amazing but the one performance that stands out the most, by far, is Jeremy Renners performance as Jem. Jeremy is getting better and better with every performance he does and The Town shows us just that. Renners performance as Jem is so amazing and unnerving that he gets lost in the performance and it is one to be remembered for. Renner will no doubt recieve his first Oscar for his performance.

Like Jeremy Renners performance, Afflecks direction in this film was one of the biggest stand outs of the entire film. The chase sequences down the narrow roads of Boston was mesmerizing and truly rememberable. Affleck will no doubt recieve alot of recognition for this film

The visuals were fantastic. One of the best things about them, in my opinion was Afflecks ability to not glorify the violence but still show enough that it keeps the movie entertained

Overall I give this film 10/10. This film is no doubt one of the best films of the year and dont be suprised when this film, Ben Affleck, and Jeremy Renner pop up on awards list when the time comes. This film is a must see for all movie goers alike. So until next time "I'll see you again, on this side or the other."
