I can sort of understand why some people might find this weird movie, but as long as they also understand this film and they see why it is scary, then it is acceptable they find it weird. Otherwise if they just think its weird and dumb then they don't understand how that for a slasher film, this isn't a bad one at all.
'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre' isn't just any other slasher film, and I'm not saying that as my option, I'm saying that because it's true. 'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is based on a true story that everything you see in this film actually happened to these poor victims years ago. Now some people would think that they just said that to try to scare you, but I wouldn't really think that they're lying because right before the movie starts it shows a prologue in captions telling a chilling short summary of the true story.
Now I will say that some of the scenes you see in this film are hard to believe that actually happened, but until you understand the sense to that scene then it is believable. Like in the scene when you see a guy that looks like he's dead, but then realize that he's just a living vegetable that's over a hundred years old that should be dead.
'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre' is a slasher film that is truly a scary one and a great one. In fact 'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre' is a great film period just because it is just so damn brilliantly horrifying. Each time you hear a chainsaw you either want to scream or you start running like hell. Each time I hear a chainsaw now I start freaking out and start running.
'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre' is sick, twisted, creepy, petrifying film with some of the most raw, gruesome, alarming visuals that will shock you into being scared, and frightened from these fearsome and impressive twists that will greatly startle you. The story of these young teenagers on the terrorizing day that changed their lives is told like this.
A group of five young Texas teenagers go on a road trip. They need a place to stay so they try to go to an abandoned house after their problem with an insane freaky and creepy hitch hiker. Once they go to the house people slowly began to go missing one at a time. Hour after hours after hours a girl named Sally is one of the people left waiting for the others.
Later in the night she goes out looking for them when The Texas Chain Saw Massacre sees her chases her all over the place with the chainsaw. This is one of the scariest scenes throughout the movie. Then she finds out that The Texas Chain Saw Massacre isn't alone. He is with a sick Texas clan and she learns one of the most shocking and most twisted truths about what the people in that clan all have in common.
This is the type of film that you have to pay full attention to in order to be scared, shocked, surprised, and to understand. If you see this film you better understand it pretty damn well. That twisted shocking truth about that sick Texas clan isn't anything that somebody from Hollywood came up with on their own. Not if this is based on a true story.
The characters in the film are perfectly well made. Right when you see a character in the film you already know a lot about that character, although some you think you know pretty well until they show their true colors in the film. The only few funny scenes in the film are when the character man in a wheelchair is on the scene. It's just so watching him in that wheelchair try to get around places. Like when he's trying to take a piss, that scene is hilarious, but that doesn't make the film a comedy.
'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre' has one of the most perfect movie endings ever. It's not like any other movie ending where you know it's going to end. I'll tell you this. It seems like it stops right in the middle of a scene. I know that doesn't sound like a very good ending, but you see this ending you will think to yourself "What happens next?", and that's what I liked about this ending, very brilliant.
'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre' is one of the scariest and best horror movies ever made.
